Online Learning Participation and Conduct

Assignments, Deadlines, and Late Submission

Students must meet all syllabus deadlines for required activities, including assignments, quizzes/tests, projects/labs, discussion forums, peer reviews, and checkpoints/orientations. Late or missed submissions may affect grades in accordance with course and University policies.

Incomplete Grades

Students who anticipate being unable to complete a final examination or major assessment should notify the instructor as early as possible, preferably at least one week in advance. In cases of unforeseen emergencies, students should contact the instructor and submit any required documentation within 72 hours, subject to the assessment and academic regulations applicable to the specific course or program.

Withdrawal

The effective withdrawal date is the timestamp when the student submits a written withdrawal request to the Program Manager.

Withdrawal requests are subject to the deadlines and withdrawal policies applicable to the specific course or program. Students should consult the relevant program information and, where applicable, the University's academic calendar and the Registrar Important Dates page for the applicable deadlines.

Pausing and Resuming Studies

Students who require a temporary interruption of studies are encouraged to contact their Program Manager. For AUB Online offerings, students may pause their studies for one semester only; students who do not resume within the approved period may be considered withdrawn from the offering. Other University offerings are subject to the relevant University regulations governing leave of absence and related enrollment requirements. Students should consult the relevant program information and the General University Academic Information regulations for eligibility requirements, timelines, and procedures.

Holds

The University may place a hold on a student's record when an action or requirement requires attention. Holds may affect registration, enrollment, graduation, or access to certain University services. Students should promptly review any related University communications and contact their Program Manager for assistance.

Participation (Online)

Students are expected to participate in all required learning activities, including synchronous sessions where designated. Identity verification or proctoring requirements must be met where applicable. Failure to comply may be recorded as an absence and may affect grades, course completion, or enrollment status in accordance with the University's General University Academic Information.
